logan circle art walk
as a member of the logan circle community association’s arts and culture committee, i developed an art walk through the neighborhood by researching the breadth of existing and proposed murals and public art installations throughout the area. by recognizing and uplifting the voices of local artists, the community strengthened its historic cultural identity, placemaking and placekeeping strategies, and sense of belonging. developing a route to visit these sights over a multiple-mile long path promotes public health for residents and tourists to the area, and the route is strategically placed amongst the 14th street retail and restaurant corridor and local small businesses, supporting economic growth for the neighborhood.
